Marriage Miscellaneous Notes:
Pallot’s Marriage Index has an entry for Wm Ullathorne and Ann Allanson: not bought right to see any details.
London, England, Marriages and Banns, 1754–1921 has William Ullathorne and Ann Hoare Allanson

Ancestry Public Trees (Blanche Eleanor Young and Bamford) have as other children:
John –1842 (death registered in Q1 1842 Bloomsbury)
Emily Anne 1828–1903 (death registered Q1 1903 Paddington – she married George Hutton Ullathorne in Q3 1846)
William 1835–1890 (death registered Q1 1890 Fulham – married Ada Anne Isabella Peacock in Q2 1860)
Alexander 1836–1916 (death registerd Q4 1916 Brighton – married Frances Landon in Q3 1860)
Rosa Cecilia 1838–1927 (death registered in 1927 Thanet – married William Heideman in Q2 1857)

In 1841 Census, have found Emily and Adelaide, plus what I take to be a 15 year old relative (Mary Anne Allanson) in the same institution – probably a convent school for girls – name and address not given.

Purpose of above anaylsis was to try to find the family in the 1841 and 1851 Censuses – failed apart from the above!

1535 Edward
1538 Bartholomew
1540 Ann
All London, dates variable. Thomas’s dates sometimes given as 1538.

http://www.rotherhamweb.co.uk/district/barnburgh.htm has all their children as:
The eldest Thomas More II (1531–1606) married in 1553 to Mary Scrope(1534–1607), a niece of Henry Scrope ,of Bolton
Augustine, born 1533, died young
Edward, born 1535; died and buried at Barnburgh May 1620
Gerome, stillborn or died soon after birth, probably in 1537
Thomas More III, born 1538; died before 1606. Married, but name of wife not recorded.
Bartholomew born 1540 – died young of the plague in London
Francis, born 1546. Died when still a child

[The Mary Scrope is a niece of Henry Scrope of Bolton is not as laid out in this genealogy, and the dates of the two make it unlikey. A Scrope genealogy from a different part of the same web–site appears to confirm what we have here. (Stored under Henry Scrope (2517).)

It also has:
After the death of John More, Anne married George West of Aston in 1559. Ann was aged 66 when she died.

Other children appear from igi to be:
1532 Austin
1534 John

Ann was aged 66 when she died.

igi has a number of options for Thomas More:
1: birth 18Aug1531, Chelsea, London, death 19Aug1606, marriage to Mary Scrope 1551 Castle Combe, Wilts
2: birth 8Aug1532 London, death 1605, marriage to Mary Scrope abt 1564 Hambleden, Bucks.
3: ‘Catholic heir the elder’ More: birth 8Aug1531 Chelsea, London, death 19Aug1606, parents: John More & Ann Cresacre.

I have followed no.3, with name Thomas.

There appears to be a different Thomas More (b. c1523 Hambleden, Bucks) marrying a different (presumably) Mary Scrope in 1538 Hambleden. This is described as simply wrong info by Martin Wood (writer of The Family and Descendants of Sir Thomas More).
Marriage 1/1:
Mary Scrope [3506]
1553
Children:
Christopher Cresacre More [3503]
Marriage Miscellaneous Notes:
There appear (according to igi) to be maybe 5 or 6 girls of this marriage but no other boys apart from an unnamed male, born about 1574.

http://www.rotherhamweb.co.uk/district/barnburgh.htm has:
“Of the 13 children of Thomas And Mary More (Nee Scrope), 8 were daughters, one of the 5 sons died young, by 1599 only 3 were living:

“John, son and heir, born in 1557
Thomas baptised at Barnburgh, January 13, 1565. He died April, 1625

Christopher Cresacre who married a daughter of Thomas Gage. They had 3 children: Helen (1606–1633), Benedictine Nun, and Bridget died October, 1692. Thomas, married a daughter of Sir Basil Brooke.”
[Presumably Henry’s date should be 1567.]

Notes
According to Martin Wood:
Apprenticed to an apothecary in York in 1773. Moved to London, where he set up his own business as a ‘tow spinner and grindery warehouseman’ at 12 Gate Street, Lincoln’s Inn Fields. In partnership with four of his sons and Owen Longstaff, his son–in–law, he later established Ullathorne & Co., flax and shoe thread mills at Startforth and at Barnard Castle. Married Mary Ann Simpson in a Catholic ceremony at Great Ormond Street. However as the law then required, this was followed by a marriage in their local parish church of St. George the Martyr, Bloomsbury on 23 April 1786. Mary Ann, born c.1765, also died in 1837. Francis and Mary Ann had eleven children all baptized Catholics.
